About Malcolm
*A division of Dr M. Ogborn Medical, Inc
I have chosen to train as a coach as way of giving back to my profession, and others closely linked to it, after over 40 years as a clinician, researcher, and healthcare leader. I have been an immigrant (twice), pediatrician, pediatric nephrologist, medical educator, researcher, academic and clinical leader, spouse, parent, and grandparent, working across Canada from the Maritimes to BC.
I want to help professionals who are both building up and moving along in their careers find paths that are shaped by their desires and their commitment to provide the best care, while finding balance and meaning in their own lives. I am inspired by the passion I see every day in the emerging generations of professionals, but recognize that their training frequently leaves them under-prepared to tackle healthcare system complexity. My research background has helped me embrace a neuroscience based approach to coaching, providing ever sharper insights into human interaction, performance and well being.
